Stewardship Saturday at the Refuge – Fremont

This June stewardship event will focus in enhancing native plant habitats by removing invasive weeds and collecting seeds from native species. Come and learn about the importance of native plant communities for wildlife and methods to help them thrive. Come prepared with comfortable clothing, sun protection, sturdy shoes, and a reusable water bottle. We’ll provide all the necessary tools and guidance for a rewarding experience. We just ask you to bring your own gloves! Don’t miss out on this chance to give back to our community and enjoy the beauty of nature!

What to Bring:
• Gloves (if you have them—extras will be available)
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
• Closed-toe shoes
• Layers for variable weather

What We Provide:
• Tools and supplies
• Guidance and education from Refuge staff

Additional Information:
• Refuge staff can sign volunteer or conservation hours.
• A volunteer agreement form will be emailed after registration; blank forms will also be available onsite. Minors need to bring a form signed by their parent.
