Marsh-in Summer Camp 2026 Applications Open!

We are so excited to welcome campers to another year of Marsh-In Summer Camp held at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge! Our 47th year of camp will be held in-person from Monday, July 27th — Wednesday, July 29th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Refuge Headquarters in Fremont at 1 Marshlands Rd, Fremont, CA 94555.

We’re looking forward to a fun schedule full of crafts, hiking, science activities, and special guest speakers!

Requirements

Campers must be entering grades 1-6 in Fall 2026 and be able to attend all days of camp. All activity materials will be provided. Camp is free for all participants.

What to Expect

Camp is designed to be outside all day, with nature-based activities including hikes, arts and crafts, group games and songs, relay races, obstacle courses and science explorations. Campers rotate through 3-6 different activities each day. Some are small group (10-12 campers) and some are large, all-camp activities (60-70 campers). The days are full and fast-paced with one main break at lunch. Additionally, this site is open to the public and the elements. We have wildlife, road crossings, and uneven trails. Campers agree to follow safety guidelines as part of shared camper responsibilities. In addition, teens (7th -12th grade) assist and lead the daily activities with oversight from adult staff and volunteers. Please consider your camper’s readiness when applying to camp!
