Earth Day BioBlitz at Don Edwards SF Bay NWR

Date:
Saturday, April 23, 2022 - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Venue:
Environmental Education Center at 1751 Grand Blvd, Alviso, CA 95002

This year, for Earth Day, we want to welcome you back to the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge for our first in-person event since 2020.

Please join us any time from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23rd, at the Environmental Education Center in Alviso. The event will be an open house, with time to explore, discover local species, learn about the history of Earth Day, start a nature journal, join a Ranger Talk, and much more!

Our main activity will be conducting a BioBlitz citizen science program around the Upland and Salt Marsh habitats. We will be using the iNaturalist app to help our Refuge biologists collect citizen science data on the animal and plant species that call the Refuge home.
